The global meaning of “America” in the history of the Western Civilization

The many Nation States still assembled in the UNO today are all examples of the evolution of the Ancien Regime where the King was legitimated to rule his Country of “nationals” unified by language and religion.

All of them have gradually tempered the absolute regime by contrasting the King’s Power with constitutional charters inspired to the concept of check-and-balances between other institutions.

This concept of “liberal-democracy” is a mere softening of the King’s absolute power.

Even the socalled French Revolution hasn’t abated the absolute power of the “King”, it merely replaced the “State” to the previous King and gave the Welfare State as the legitimate scope to impose its top-down rule.

This inaugurated from 1789 a two centuries long period during which the Nation States have conducted bloody wars that led to the extinction of Europe’s leadership in the world while the American Revolution and its 1776 Spirit of Freedom & Bravehood consolidated its fully innovative constitution.

Even the socalled October Revolution and the Fascist States are nothing but the effort to try to “improve” the concept of Nation State by replacing the “Unique Party” to the old-times King in its absolute power upon their ”subjects”.

The USA constitution has instead fully subverted these concepts of political legitimacy ruling any of the survived Nation States: the State is an unfortunate but necessary evil whose powers shall be strictly confined to emergency services. Even the military service shall not be “on draft”, the minutemen and the right to bear arms shall take care of periods of warfare (as is still the case in Iraq or Afghanistan where the Army and the CIA are supplied or integrated by private military businesses). Even the justice shall be elected by local constituencies as well as the Sheriff under strict control by its voters. Even the Pony Express and the Wells Fargo of the Pinkerton are due to private initiative of free-men (and brave too).

Even the Constitutional Amendments should have been voted by two/thirds majorities of approvals expressed by the “elected representatives” of each of the Federal States. No such bullshit as “interpreting the few existing” Amendments by an “appointed gang” of life-members. As nice and smart as they can result: this is mere show as has been represented in the very nice First Monday in October with Walter Matthau.

The State is an unavoidable (but to be restrained as much and as soon as possible) pain in the neck whose “services” shall be reduced as soon as possible by replacing them with private business enterprises and the “government” shall be Bottom-Up rather than old-days Top-Down.

To resume: in the whole world among old-times Nation States inspired by diverse grades of “liberal-democracy” only the USA is founded upon the concept of citizenship (sharing values) chosen freely by newcomers oppressed by any previous “nation” of birth.

That principle is nowadays the only compatible with the winning and in-contrastable industrial (not ideological) globalization of economy in our planet

This is in the eyes of the common “subjects” around the world the American Dream: to become citizens free & brave. Not joining California to get food-stamps living on Welfare State. The Welfare State attracts “subjects in spirit” to get benefits. The Free Market Capitalism attracts citizens willing to earn their living.

If the liberal-radical supporters of even excellent Presidents (mostly Democrats from FDR thru JFK and Obama) would succeed in injecting into the USA the concept of Welfare State the USA would lose their uniqueness as the flag of freedom and bravehood in the world scenario. The USA would become one of the many top-down ruled States whose chances to act as a protagonist would merely be limited by the still existing superior competitiveness of its industrial economy. That competitive superiority will though be quickly lost since it is only rooted on the capitalist-free-market concept of Bottom-Up government and daily responsibility.

That moment will fix the end of the American Dream injected in OUR Western History by the Founding Fathers in 1776 that, ironically enough, has survived the end of the Ancien Regimes (there-included the present Cheese-eaters, Vatican-ruled, Marx-inspired, Mohammed-blessed “democracies” infecting us around the world: from Chavez, to Ahmadinejad, to Putin, to Hu, to Ghaddafy, to Sarkozy) and has “created” the ongoing blessed wave of global market free from any ideological protagonist.
